Yenenesh is HIV positive. Her husband died of Aids when she 21 and pregnant. Fortunately their daughter Rahwa is clear of the virus. Rahwa means light and Yenenesh puts photos of her all over the house.

Yenenesh lives on the outskirts of the Addis Ababa with her daughter and another family of three in the adjacent room. She earns extra money by doing laundry and making injera, the staple food in Ethiopia.
